Steven Graubard, PhD
Steven Graubard has 25 years' experience as a consultant working with organizations and individuals to manage change, identify and develop leadership talent, improve performance, develop effective strategies, and transform teams.
Between 2000 and 2004, Steven served as vice president and senior consultant for State Street Bank's Leadership and Change group, the talent management and leadership development arm of Human Resources and Organizational Performance. In this role, Steven was the primary architect of State Street's global executive assessment and development process, executive and senior management coaching function, organizational development initiatives, strategic planning processes for key business units, and organization-wide change management.
Steven has served as both an internal and independent consultant to private sector organizations and has been affiliated with global and regional consulting firms, such as Personnel Decisions International, Right Management Consultants, The Corporate Advisory Group, and Powell & Wagner Associates.
Current Responsibilities
Steven is a consulting psychologist with comprehensive experience
and expertise in organizational development and transitions management,
executive and management assessment, development and coaching, human
resources strategy planning, interpersonal relations issues, and
hands-on human resources management. Steven primarily works with
executives, senior managers, professionals, and teams to increase
productivity and effectiveness.
Education and Credentials
Doctorate in psychology; licensed in the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts.
Key Capabilities and Experience
Prior to his New England-based activities, Steven was located in
Southern California, where he consulted to private and public sector
organizations experiencing significant growth and change in management
goals, style, and requirements for future expansion. His activities
included executive and management assessment and development, transitions
in corporate culture, team-building, group dynamics, and organizational
development.
In addition to consulting, Steven has had hands-on experience
as a senior manager, serving as senior managing psychologist for
The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, as director of the
Pasadena Mental Health Center, and as human resources director for
the City of Beverly Hills.
He has held appointments on the adjunct faculties of Pepperdine
University, the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, the Wright Institute,
California School of Professional Psychology, and the University
of Redlands Alfred North Whitehead College of Business and Management.
